The Eden Valley-Watkins-Kimball (EV-W-K) cross country team competed at the Central Minnesota Conference meet Tuesday, Oct. 16. The CMC meet was held at the Pierz Golf Course.
In the girls' varsity race, Raelynn Callander placed fifth with a time of 16:53; Denzel Atherton placed 13th in 17:41; Malina Röettgermann 15th in 17:48; Grace Kopitzke 20th-18:13; Marisa Johnson 26th-18:56; Madison Libbesmeier 32nd-19:14; and Brooke Winter 37th-20:03.
Raelynn Callander was All Conference, Denzel Atherton and Malina Röettgermann were All Conference Honorable Mention.
The girls' varsity results were:
1-Maple Lake-33 points
4-EV-W-K-78 points (lost tie breaker)
5-St. John 's Prep-140 points
In the boys' varsity race, Bret Mattice placed 35th with a time of 20:12; Tyler Neu 39th-20:38; Matthew Notch 47th-22:10; Cameron Flaschenriem 51st-24:18; and Tyler Swafford 52nd-24:55.
The boys' team results were:

7-St. John's Prep-166 points
In the girls' junior varsity race, Taylor Schreiner placed fourth, with a time of 18:55; Maria Roeser fifth-18:56; Stephanea Roeser sixth-18:59; Sonora Mattice seventh-19:02; Katie Gaslin eighth-19:10; Kendra Atherton ninth-19:11; Hannah Ehlinger 13th-19:47; Hannah Holmberg 16th-20:22; Kristen Howe 20th-20:50; Lauren Libbesmeier 21st-22:15; Paiten Schreiner 26th-23:13; Alissa Jones 27th-23:47; Cheyenne Sogge 28th-24:26; Erika Johnson 29th-24:45; and Fentke Stolle 30th-25:08.
The girls' JV finished second place as a team.
The girls who are moving on to the section meet are Raelynn Callander, Denzel Atherton, Malina Röettgermann, Grace Kopitzke, Marisa Johnson, Taylor Schreiner, Maria Roeser, and alternates Stephanea Roeser and Sonora Mattice.
The boys who are moving on to the section meet are Brett Mattice, Tyler Neu, Matthew Notch, Cameron Flaschenriem and Tyler Swafford.
The section meet will be held at the Little Crow Golf Course in Spicer 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25.
