National 4-H week was held Oct. 7-13, and as reporter of the Valley Victors 4-H club, I feel it a duty to inform the public of the Valley Victors and 4-H. The Valley Victors hold monthly meetings on the second Monday of the month. Snacks are provided before the meeting by a family of the club and the business meeting starts around 7:30. 4-H is a national youth organization that builds lifelong leadership skills. 4-H has a wide variety of project areas for any youth to pursue their interests.
Although people often think 4-H is just for farm kids, that is not the case, as there are many project areas for anyone to explore. If you are interested in joining 4-H, contact the Meeker County Extension office at (320) 693-5275, or the Valley Victors club leader, Bridget Lux at (320) 453-7363.
