City of Kimball RESOLUTION NO.10152012A RESOLUTION TO AMEND ZONING ORDINANCE SECTION 1130.02 - LIGHT INDUSTRY



Council member Eric Loewen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption:

WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on Monday, October 15, 2012 to amend Ordinance Section 1130.02 to read as follows:

1130.02 Permitted Uses. The following uses shall be permitted in this district:

• Wholesale business establishments.

• Warehouse; packing and crating establishment; truck yard or terminal.

• Contractors' shops, roofing, electrical, paperhanging, ventilating, welding, upholstering, fencing, building.

• Storage Facilities for the storage of personal items by persons renting the space as a permitted use.

• Storage yards for building material, coal, wood, and ice.

• Laboratories for research and utility uses.

• Public and Public quality control.

• The manufacture, compounding, processing, packing or treatment of such products as candy, cosmetics, drugs, perfumes, pharmaceutical, toiletries and food products except the rendering of fats and oils.

• The manufacturing of pottery and figurines or other similar ceramic products, using only previously pulverized clay and kilns fired only by electricity or gas.

• The manufacturing of boats, cameras, electrical appliances, radio and television receivers, musical instruments, medical appliances and photographic equipment except film.

• The manufacture of sporting and athletic equipment, small tools, toys, children's vehicles, caskets, and burial vaults.

•Trade schools

• Offices

• Animal clinics

The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member Paula Capes and upon being put to vote the following voted in favor: Tammy Konz, Joe Krippner, Paula Capes, and Eric Loewen. Nate Osmundson was absent.

This amendment is adopted the 15 day of October, 2012, and shall be effective upon publication.
