The Eagles brought out the brooms Thursday night as they swept Howard Lake-Waverly-
Winsted in a Central Minnesota Conference match.
It was homecoming for the Eagles who moved to 4-1 in the CMC with two games remaining. Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa and Pierz are currently tied for first with records of 5-0.
The Eagles downed HL-W-W 25-20, 25-21 and 26-24.
Courtney Dilley was a force at the net going 22-22 hitting with 10 kills while Kaylee Forcier was 18-25 hitting with eight kills and Holly Schumacher was 8-9 hitting with six kills.
Two Eagles were perfect from the serving line. Kaylee Forcier was 12-12 serving and Mickael Thielen 11-11 serving with one ace. Baylee Lahr was 13-14 serving with two aces and Holly Schumacher 7-9 serving with one ace.
Lahr also had 10 digs and Schumacher had 25 set assists.
EV-W is now 13-7 overall. The Eagles will played their last home game of the regular season Tuesday night when they faced Osakis.
