Wright County Sheriff's Office

Sept. 25, Daniel Maurice Traeger, 30 of Annandale, was arrested in Annandale on the charges of interference with a 911 call and domestic assault.

Sept. 25, Scot Alan Neuschwander, 52 of Annandale, was arrested in Annandale on an apprehension and detention order from Wright County.

Sept. 29, Nathan Walter Buranen, 21 of Annandale, was arrested in Buffalo on the charges of fifth-degree controlled substance violation and third-degree DWI.

There were 8 property-damage accidents, 4 personal-injury accidents, and 2 hit-and-run accidents.

There were 14 arrests for DWI,

9 underage-consumption arrests, and 34 tickets for miscellaneous traffic violations issued this week.

Sunday, September 30

9:21 a.m. the Sheriff's Office received a report of a deer lying on the road on 230th Street, Darwin Township. The deputy removed the deer from the roadway.

9:42 a.m. the Sheriff's Office dispatched Eden Valley Rescue and Watkins Ambulance to a medical at a residence on Church Street North, Eden Valley. No transport was needed.

3:33 p.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to and dispatched Cosmos Fire Department to a report of a cornfield on fire in the area of CSAH 1 and 120th Street, Cedar Mills Township. Cosmos Fire was able to extinguish the fire.

6:32 p.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to a 9-1-1 hang-up call at a residence on CSAH 21, Kingston Township. The deputy made contact with the homeowners and found all to be okay.

9:36 p.m. the Sheriff's Office took a report of a disturbance at the Valley Inn, State Street North, Eden Valley.

Saturday, September 29

1:03 p.m. the Sheriff's Office dispatched Kimball Rescue and Watkins Ambulance to a medical at a residence on MN Highway 15, Kingston Township. One individual was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital.

2:26 p.m. the Sheriff's Office arrested Timothy Michael Anderson, age 37, of Eden Valley, on a probation violation.

3:21 p.m. the Sheriff's Office took a report of theft from a residence on 340th Street, Forest Prairie Township.

7:33 p.m. the Sheriff's Office observed a possible ordinance violation at a residence on County State Aid Highway 2, Forest Prairie Township. The deputy made contact with the homeowner who was advised that the burning ban was still in effect and the fire was extinguished at that time.

7:57 p.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to a cellular 9-1-1 hang-up call in the area of County State Aid Highway 36, Manannah Township. With the assistance of the Eden Valley Police Department, the individual was located in Eden Valley and all was okay.

Friday, September 28

12:15 p.m. the Sheriff's Office dispatched Litchfield Rescue and Watkins Ambulance to a medical at a residence on West 3rd Street, Litchfield. One individual was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital.

1:48 p.m. the Sheriff's Office received a report of a dog complaint at a residence on 315th Street, Forest City Township. One male yellow lab was taken to the Haugo Vet Clinic and then later transported to the Meeker County dog pound.

3:33 p.m. the Sheriff's Office received a report of a driving complaint at Steffes Auction on MN Highway 22, Litchfield Township. The deputy located the individuals and they will return to the business and repair the damages.

6:25 p.m. the Sheriff's Office received information regarding an injured red-tailed hawk at a residence on County State Aid Highway 18, Ellsworth Township. The MN Raptor Center was contacted and they advised that they would assist the homeowner with the hawk.

6:25 p.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to a stray calf complaint at a residence on County State Aid Highway 3, Manannah Township. The deputy was able to return the calf to the barn and owner was advised.

7:55 p.m. the Sheriff's Office received information regarding a car/deer accident near a residence on CSAH 21, Kingston Township.

10:45 p.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to assist the Eden Valley Police Department with a report of a fight at the Valley Inn, State Street North, Eden Valley.

Thursday, September 27

3:21 a.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle near the area of MN Highway 55 and Central Avenue, Watkins. A deputy searched the area and the vehicle was gone on arrival.

9:25 a.m. the Sheriff's Office took a report of criminal damage to property that occurred at the Ness Church on 580th Avenue, Litchfield Township.

12:19 p.m. the Sheriff's Office assisted with an animal recovery on County State Aid Highway 14, Forest City Township. The injured bald eagle was placed with the Raptor Center for treatment.

12:30 p.m. the Sheriff's Office dispatched Eden Valley Fire Department for a rekindle of a house fire on MN Highway 22, Manannah Township.

2:41 p.m. the Sheriff's Office assisted Meeker County Social Services at the Eden Valley Elementary School on Stearns Avenue, Eden Valley.

4:46 p.m. the Sheriff's Office took a report of a welfare check at a residence on 742nd Avenue, Kingston Township.

5:22 p.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to and dispatched Eden Valley Fire Department for a shed fire at a residence on MN Highway 22, Manannah Township. A report was taken.

7:46 p.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to a request to check the welfare of an individual at a residence on 350th Street, North Kingston Township. A report will be filed.

Wednesday September 26

8:50 a.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to a suspicious vehicle located near a residence on County State Aid Highway 17, Forest Prairie Township. A deputy spoke to the driver of the vehicle and determined that everything was fine.

10:28 a.m. the Sheriff's Office assisted the Eden Valley Police Department with an unwanted individual on Hillside Drive, Eden Valley.

11:58 a.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to an animal complaint on County State Aid Highway 14, Forest City Township. A deputy searched the area and did not locate any cattle near the roadway.

6:15 p.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to and dispatched Eden Valley Rescue and Watkins Ambulance to a medical at a residence on MN Highway 22, Manannah Township. One individual was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital.

9:54 p.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to and dispatched Eden Valley Fire Department, Watkins Fire Department, and Litchfield Fire Department to a report of a fully engulfed house fire on MN Highway 22, Manannah Township. No one was home at the time of the fire. The house was a total loss. The Red Cross was contacted for the homeowner. A report will be filed. (See full story on page 16.)

Tuesday, September 25

8:48 a.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to a car/deer accident on 318th Street, Kingston Township. The deputy issued a deer possession tag to the driver.

2:03 p.m. the Sheriff's Office took a report of an abandoned vehicle located on MN Highway 22, Manannah Township. Information was forwarded on to the MN State Patrol.

6:50 p.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to take information on a missing dog from an address on Central Avenue South, Watkins.

7:02 p.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a possible drunk driver that had left a residence in the Watkins Trailer Park. A short time later the deputy located and arrested, Laureen Myrtle Ryan, age 58 of Watkins, for third-degree DUI.

7:57 p.m. the Sheriff's Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance and Eden Valley Rescue for a medical at an address on Church Street North, Eden Valley. One individual was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital.

Monday, September 24

6:14 a.m. the Sheriff's Office dispatched Dassel Rescue and Gold Cross Ambulance to a medical at a residence on CSAH 19, Kingston Township. There was no medical need and they were canceled a short time later.

11:53 a.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to a trespassing complaint at a residence on County State Aid Highway 3, Manannah Township. The deputy spoke to both parties involved and advised them of their options.

8:43 p.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to a noise complaint at an address in the Watkins Trailer Park. Upon arrival the deputy made contact with the individual and issued a citation for disorderly conduct.
