Vote 'Yes' to the Marriage Amendment

Nov. 6, Minnesotans have to make some critical decisions that concern our state and our nation. These issues were pre-government and prioritized by our forefathers through the 1st Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and the author of the first chapter of the first book of every Old Testament Bible. The challengers of today however, seem to think they are above these great ones.

Presently, President Obama is waging war on all 'people of faith' through the Health & Human Services Amendment. When the Supreme Court upheld 'Obamacare', it gave Obamaistas renewed energy in their unprecedented attack on religious liberty. Obamacare and all its deadly tentacles have the potential to put our country in great peril. No government agency or official has the right to force you, me or anyone to violate our religious beliefs. Yet, this is what Mr. Obama has done, and it must be repealed in the next Congress.

The crisis is similar in Minnesota as we face same-sex marriage. Marriage was God-given and received by the human race when we were created: 'male and female' to complement one another through the union of marriage to "be fertile and multiply" (Gen 1:28).

Not every marriage produces children. But every child has parents. Marriage and the family are institutions that must be promoted and defended from every possible misrepresentation of their true nature. Opponents of the Amendment argue that the Amendment is about history and discrimination, but that is simply not true. Gays and lesbians have the right to live as they choose, but not the right to redefine marriage for all of us. Same-sex marriage changes marriage from a child-centered institution to an adult-centered institution. It is unjust for the law to decree that adults are entitled to have what they want, namely partners of the same sex, while children have to accept whatever we give them. In both cases, children-the born and unborn, are the real victims and the ones discriminated.

There are no longer one-issue voters, but now many with the ideas being proposed by some liberal politicians. If we want to protect our religious freedom, our children and families, vote "Yes" to the Marriage Amendment, know your Federal and State candidates and what they stand for. ACT NOW!!
