Tuesday, Sept. 13, has been set as the date for the 15th annual
St. Cloud Area Job Fair 2011. The job fair will be held at the St. Cloud Civic Center and is scheduled to run from 1-5 p.m. Sponsored by Minnesota WorkForce Center/Job Service, Benton County Economic Development, and
St. Cloud Times, the job fair is free to the public and offers an excellent opportunity for numerous employers and job seekers to meet at one location.
"The job fair continues to be a success each year," said Linda Yozamp, manager of WorkForce Center/Job Service. There were 1,300 job applicants at last year's job fair. Yozamp continued, "During this economy, the Area Job Fair is another way for jobseekers to talk with employers about current or future job openings."
Since many employers interview or schedule appointments for job applicants right at the job fair, applicants are encouraged to bring copies of their rsum if they have one and dress as if they were going to an interview. If you would like more information, please call a WorkForce Center/Job Service representative at (320) 308-2929.
