The Spirit Sings Aug. 4 at Kimball Library
The Kimball Public Library is offering a program called "The Spirit Sings," presented by Pages of Music 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday,
Aug. 4. Adults, teens and children of all ages are invited to this program. It will explore the rich legacy of African-American music, including its growth from slave songs to jazz, and remarkable performers such as Marian Anderson. Pages of Music are professional musicians and educators Carrie Vecchione (who plays oboe) and Rolf Erdahl (who plays bass).
This program is funded in part with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
