Most of you have probably heard the story of my daughter Kennedy's battle with hepatocellular carcinoma, a type of liver cancer. What you don't know is that during the course of her chemotherapy, she needed multiple blood transfusions.
Without the support of blood donors, she may not have been able to continue her treatment. In these tough economic times, it can be hard to give to charities or organizations that help others, but you can still help by giving blood. The best part is, it doesn't cost you a penny, it only costs you a little time and a little blood.
I am asking that you please join me as a fellow blood donor and consider donating your time and blood to give someone else the life-saving gift of a blood transfusion. You never know when you or your loved one might need it!
