Monday, July 2, the Stearns County Sheriff's Office responded to the report of an attempted abduction on Pamela Lane, in St. Wendel Township about 2 miles north of the city of St. Joseph. A 10-year-old girl reported that she was out in front of her home sweeping the driveway when she was approached by a man. She said that the man grabbed her wrist and told her to get in his car. She said she was able to pull away and ran back inside her house. She described the man as being white, about six feet tall, and 180 pounds with brown hair. She said that he appeared to be in his 30s, and was wearing a blue short sleeve shirt with a blue and red superman symbol on the front, black pants with white shoes with black laces. She further described the car he was in as a blue car, possible similar looking to an older style Chevrolet Lumina or Caprice. The incident remains under investigation by the Stearns County Sheriff's Office.
