Liedman receives Boy Scout Silver Beaver award



Carl "Bill" Liedman, mathematics teacher at Kimball Area High School, has received the Boy Scouts of America Silver Beaver award for distinguished service to youth. The highest Scouting award given at the Council level, the Silver Beaver recognizes Bill's more than 35 years of volunteer service in the Boy Scout program.

Bill Leidman has two Eagle Scout sons. He is a mathematics teacher who has been attending Many Point Scout Camp for 35 years as a Scout, parent and Scoutmaster. He currently serves as Scoutmaster for Boy Scout

Troop 3357 in Kimball. He also served as a volunteer firefighter for 21 years, president of the Kimball Golf Club for 15 years, Ducks Unlimited president for two years, city of Kimball Grand Marshall in the 2011 Kimball Days, MN State High School Sports Umpire/Referee for 30 years and a Kimball Rod and Gun Club member.
