Secretary Ritchie encourages all Minnesotans to see rare exhibit of U.S. Constitution at Minnesota History Center
This week the Minnesota History Center announced it will display an early published version of the Constitution along with a rare draft of the U.S. Bill of Rights and originals of the two Minnesota state constitutions, April 3 to July 4, 2012. In response, Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie released the following statement.
"As a member of the Minnesota Historical Society's Executive Council, I want to congratulate the Minnesota History Center for their dedicated work to exhibit our nation's most sacred documents. This historical collection will provide schools and other groups with a unique opportunity to learn about our Constitution, our rights, and our freedoms. I encourage all Minnesotans to plan a visit to the Minnesota History Center and urge organizations across the state to plan other events to celebrate our Constitution."
"Minnesotans who visit this rare exhibit will find a compelling story about our history and heritage that emphasizes the continuing importance of the Constitution in our lives."
