Coborn Cancer Center offers support

For cancer patients, survivors and caregivers

Explore different ways to manage cancer by attending this class that provides individual, couple and family therapy to those dealing with cancer issues. Ongoing classes will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. every other Friday, starting Jan. 13, in the Carlson Classroom at the Coborn Cancer Center at CentraCare Health Plaza.

Art therapy class promotes self-discovery

Art therapy helps cancer patients and caregivers record their thoughts and feelings in a "visual journal." The class also helps patients manage their pain, depression, anxiety and stress helping them to relax and meet new friends. Join Katie Kinzer, a master's level art therapist, 10:30 a.m. to noon Thursdays through June 2012, at Coborn Cancer Center at CentraCare Health Plaza, as she guides individuals in the creative process using a wide assortment of art supplies.
