The Kimball Cubs football season opener was Sept. 1. EV-W schools started Aug. 29 (in anticipation of construction work during the summer of 2012).

Classes began Sept. 6 in Kimball Schools with a number of new staff (pictured in the Sept. 1 Tri-County News).

The KHS Class of 1952 held a get-together Sept. 8 at Triple R in Kimball. The KHS Class of 1951 held their 60th reunion at the same place, the next day (Sept. 9). The KHS Class of 1971 held their 40-year reunion at the Waterfront in Annandale Sept. 10. The KHS Class of 1954 held their reunion at Triple R Sept. 15. The KHS Class of 1956 did the same Sept. 21, as did the KHS Class of 1949 on Sept. 25.

St. Anne's Church in Kimball held their parish festival Sunday, Sept. 17.

The Kingston Veterans Memorial was dedicated in a ceremony Saturday afternoon, Sept. 24. A number of individuals spoke, music was provided by the Kingery Family Singers, and everyone enjoyed a lunch and fellowship time at the Kingston Community Center afterward. 242 pavers bear the names of Kingston-area veterans (the list of names was published in the Sept. 29 Tri-County News).

Theodore Fox was born in September to Benjamin and Ellie Fox.

Brooklyn Hiemenz was born in September to Daniel and Kristin Hiemenz.

Transitions:

Leah Garding and Timothy Eiynk announced their engagement and October wedding.

Amie Hedlund and Johan Sogge planned an October wedding.

Theresa Kummer and Kirby Nicka planned to marry.

Kristin Kottke and Ben Sanderson announced their engagement and October wedding.

A surprise 25th anniversary party was held for Janie and Dean Schmidt in September.

Ashley Koltes and Brian Garding announced their engagement and October wedding.

Jessica Wilkens and Steven Epple announced their engagement and September wedding.
