Anita Hoefer has kept in touch with her former country schoolhouse teacher for some years now. Last week she paid her a visit. Rosalea (Nys) Alstadt taught at the Stickney Hill District 55 school around 1941; the photo inset is Miss Nys from that era. The school served grades 1-8. Alstadt is 95 now and lives in a nursing home in Duluth. Submitted photo.
