Over the last year, Rural Stearns Faith in Action (RSFIA) has dedicated time to building relationships and raising awareness about our program services. We are excited to announce that the Belgrade Nursing Home will officially be taking calls as our newest addition and hub location. Their support has been crucial to the progress we have made in Belgrade, Brooten and Elrosa. As in-kind support, Cheryl Anderson the Social Worker at the nursing home will also be the Belgrade Area Coordinator. We look forward to finding a home for RSFIA in Kimball, giving your community a local number for residents to call if they ever need help. If anyone is interested in assisting with this, please call Lindsay Sand at (320) 685-3693.
As some of you may know, Rebekah Garcia, AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) with Rural Stearns Faith in Action is saying farewell and a big 'Thank You' to all who have been supportive and welcoming over this last year. As she departs, we are very fortunate to welcome Scott Holte as the new AmeriCorps VISTA. Scott will continue efforts to support Kimball and the surrounding communities. Please look out for upcoming community events and information.
If one thing remains the same, it's that we are always searching for individuals who are passionate about helping others and asking them to be a part of our team by becoming a volunteer. There are several options for volunteering, you can help with what you might be interested in or have talent in. Times are flexible, and based on when a volunteer is available to help. Volunteering can be as often as weekly or as infrequently as every couple months, based on your availability.
Our ultimate goal is to equip the community with enough volunteers in order to increase the chances of providing the help when there is a need. If you're able to help or in need of help, please feel free to connect with Lindsey Sand at (320) 685-3693/lindseys@assumptionhome.
