The Kimball White 12U and Kimball Blue 12U girls' softball teams competed in the State Tournament in Becker this past weekend. The Kimball White team played to a 2 and 3 record, while the Kimball Blue played to a 2 and 2 record. This is the second straight year that Kimball has sent a team to the State in 12U softball. The Kimball White team played all day on Saturday, as they played four games back to back in the heat of the day. The girls played many teams that were older and played many more games than we did. They did a wonderful job all season long. They ended the season with 19 wins and 7 losses. I would like to thank the many people who helped and supported the teams all season. Thanks to the players for committing themselves to the sport, the parents for also making the commitment to their daughters, and the support at the games. Also, thanks to the coaches that give up much of their time to help these girls improve their skills. The coaches are Sean O'brien, Patty Shiefelbein, and Bob Merchant for the Kimball Blue, and Linda Merchant for Kimball White. You all did a great job. Can't wait to see these girls in high school together. Thanks to everybody.
