Myrtle Linn of St. Cloud, formerly of Kimball, died Monday, June 27, 2011, at the St. Cloud Hospital. She was 86.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, July 1, at Kingdom Hall in Annandale. Family and friends may gather one hour prior to the service.
Myrtle Francis Linn was born June 12, 1925, in Detroit, Mich., to Tolliver H. and Ida G. (Jones) Huguley. She married Aldwin "Sonny" Linn June 21, 1948, in River Rouge, Mich. In 1950 they moved to Mayer, Minn., before they began farming near Watkins. In 1967 they moved to Royal Oak, Mich. Myrtle and Aldwin, together with their family, then returned to the Kimball area where she resided until entering Talahi Care Center in 2004.
Myrtle could often be found reading a book, or using her artistic ability to draw. She also was a history buff. Her greatest enjoyment was the time she spent with her family.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her son William Olgesbee, husband Aldwin, and siblings Bryan, Agnes, Frank and Jim.
She is survived by her children: Pam (and George) Kapture of Livonia, Mich., Patricia Linn Jones of St. Cloud, James (and Gloria) Linn of Sauk Centre, Elizabeth (and Charles Bechler) Carpenter of Altamont, Mich., and Cynthia Steward of Kimball; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and sister Ann Luman of Maryland.
