Thirty-two years ago I became a staff member at Kimball Elementary School. Wow, have the years flown by. I feel enormously lucky to have chosen a career that has brought me so much pleasure. That pleasure came from helping to guide students to achieve their goals. It became the love of learning for many and to witness students when they finally "got it."
Words can hardly express the joy and gratitude I felt at the wonderful retirement party. It was a brilliant way to catch up and personally say good-bye to all of the fantastic colleagues, students, and community members. In fact, it felt more like a reunion than a farewell.
Thank you to the countless people who contributed their time and assistance to bring the party to such a great success filled with songs, retirement anecdotes and special presentations. The flowers, scrapbook, cards, notes, ride in the fire truck, and gifts from staff, students, and community was so greatly appreciated.
As I embark on the next phase of my life's journey, know that I take cherished memories of friendship, love, and support with me from my time in Kimball and will be with me forever.
I will truly miss all of you.
Thank you so very much,
