Become a "volunteer soldier" at Fort Ridgely Saturday, June 18. Civil War era re-enactors will be at the site to train recruits for infantry and artillery militia. The program will start at 1:30 p.m. and will be ongoing through the afternoon on the historic site parade grounds.
Max and Donna Daniels, portraying President Abraham and Mary Lincoln, will review the troops. President Lincoln will give the Gettysburg Address at 2 p.m. Photographs with the Lincolns will be available during the afternoon.

MN State Park permit and Historic Site fees are required for this event. Fort Ridgely State Park and Historic Site is located on MN Highway #4, seven miles south of Fairfax, and 11 miles north of Sleepy Eye.
