The Cubs finished their season Thursday, May 19, with a win over the Belgrade Brooten-Elrosa Jaguars, 9-6. Kimball ended its season with an overall record of 5-3, sweeping EV-W, along with defeating a very good Rockford Rocket and HL-W-W Laker team. The weather did not always cooperate this spring, but the girls had great attitudes and worked hard to get better. On offense, we got timely hitting, and moved well around the bases for runs. Defensively, we were led by improved pitching and fundamental fielding that shut down many of our opponents. Each player stepped and made plays throughout the season that helped this team become very successful. Their skill, effort and personality was appreciated and will go a long way toward their continued success. Thanks for your excellent effort this season.
