The girls' track team placed sixth of eight teams on Tuesday, May 10. The girls had a great field event night and struggled in a tough field with running events in the 85-degree heat and high humidity. Shawny Kramer broke her own school record in the discus by throwing 130'0" and placing her the top thrower in Class A so far. Morgan Meyer and Brittany Hesse qualified for the State Honor Role in the long jump, jumping 16' 0.5" and 15' 8" respectively. Sam Stuve finished third in the pole vault with a vault of 8'6". The True Team Section Meet is the qualifying meet for the True Team State Meet in which an entire team advances if they place first in the section meet or is the best second place team in the state. The difference with True Team Sections is each team is allowed only two athletes in each event.
