Candy Striper program turns 50

St. Cloud Hospital's Junior Volunteer (Candy Striper) Program is celebrating its 50th anniversary. The program was started by Rosalie Timmers June 13, 1961. Volunteers, ages 14-18, generously give their time and talent to provide valuable support to hospital programs, staff and patients. Currently the hospital has more than 170 Junior Volunteers working in various departments.
