The last 4-H meeting was held Monday, April 11, at the Lemke's home. The roll call was "What's your favorite spring activity." The meeting was called to order by Joe Gathje. Our dairy bowl participants did well at their last competition. We built shelves for the Eden Valley food shelf and they were very much appreciated. We played a fun game and learned about electricity. Also, we discussed project ideas for the fair and set our road-ditch clean-up date. We will clean ditches on April 30. Our demonstrations were by Adrienne Lipinski, George Lemke, and Greta Lemke. Adrienne did hers on bottle babies (she explained that you need to feed a lamb that the mother, well, abandons.) She did a wonderful job. Greta did one on making ants on a log. She made me hungry. She, too, did a fabulous job. George did one on making arrows that were made fast and easy, so when I lose an arrow I could just make one myself. He did a fantastic job of explaining all the steps to an easy arrow. We all enjoyed the meeting and can't wait until next time!
