2011 Minnesota Senior Games at Minnesota State University, Mankato
The Minnesota Senior Games, open to Minnesota residents and non-residents over the age of 50, will be held June 2-5, at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Participants will be competing in 5-year age increments starting with 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, and even up to 95-99+ in these sports:
Track and Field, Tennis, Swimming, Softball, Golf, Cycling, Road Races-5K and 10K, Racquetball, Horseshoe, Archery, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Race Walking, Pickle Ball, Badminton, Basketball, Bowling, Billiards, Shuffleboard and Disk Golf.
Seniors can qualify for the National Senior Games, which are held every odd year, by participating in the Minnesota State Games the year preceding. State games are held in each state each year. Minneapolis, St. Paul, and Bloomington will host the 2015 National Summer Senior Games.
