The Kimball football team is proud to announce the hiring of two new coaches to the staff starting for the 2011 season. Todd Hendricks was hired as the new defensive coordinator position, and Lloyd Danzeisen was hired as the new offensive coordinator.
Lloyd has been in coaching for 37 years. He has held many college positions, including the head coach position at Fergus Falls Community College for 23 years. There, Lloyd's teams have won seven Division championships, one state championship, and four state runnerÐup trophies. Lloyd also won four Coach of the Year awards at Fergus. Lloyd has held positions at St. Cloud State, Minnesota-Morris, and University of Puget Sound. Lloyd brings a multiple formation offensive scheme to Kimball, along with the many years of experiences on the offensive side of the ball. He will be coaching the quarterbacks and wide receivers. Lloyd has a passion for teaching the fundamentals to the players that he coaches.
Todd has been coaching for 17 years at many levels of football. He has five years at the high school level, three as head coach at Wabasso High School where he won section championship in 2003, two years at AtwaterÐComos-Grove City as an assistant. Todd has coached two years at the college level. He has also coached seven years at the semiÐpro level where he also played. Currently Todd is in his fourth year coaching at the pro level in Europe. Todd also has played professionally in Europe for 14 years. Todd will bring an attacking defense that will put pressure on opposing offenses.
The Kimball football family is happy to welcome Lloyd and Todd to the family. Many good things have been happening during the winter season for the team to cause some excitement in the players and coaches of the team. Many players are working hard in the weight room and competing in winter sports and having good years. This summer is filled with many opportunities for the team to get together and work on the skills that they need to improve for the 2011 season. The season starts Aug. 15 this year, with the schedule of summer programs coming out in the next few weeks.
