The Stearns History Museum announces the release of "Luxembourg Immigrants to Stearns County and Vicinity 1854-1920" CD. Created by local genealogist Gretchen Leisen, this interactive CD is a 420-page document containing a complete index of immigrants and migrants who came from Luxembourg and other states to Stearns County and vicinity from 1854 to 1920. It includes spouses and offspring as well as births, deaths and marriages of the original immigrants. The CD is available for sale at the Stearns History Museum for $19.95 plus sales tax.
Ms. Leisen is a charter member of the St. Cloud Area Genealogists and has done extensive genealogy for 40 years. Along with her cousin Ed Zapp, she will present "Uncovering Great-Grandma's SecretÐOn the Way to a Reunion" about their 37-year quest to find their great-grandmother at 7 p.m. April 19, at the Stearns History Museum. The program is free and open to the public.
