ASSE International Student Exchange Program is looking for good families to host high school foreign exchange students for the 2011-2012 school year. ASSE students are from countries all over the world, including Germany, France, Russia, Japan, China, Scandinavian Countries, and many more. The sending country screens the students, most of whom are fluent in English. The host family is able to select the student from a list of available students. The students have guidelines which they must follow, and they come with medical insurance and their own spending money. The host family needs to provide a bed, food, some transportation, and an understanding of teenagers. The host family receives on-going support from ASSE. The exchange student is expected to become an active participant in the host family, learning about life in the United States. Hosting is easier and more rewarding than most people realize. Become a host family today!
