Fern Foreman of Kimball died Saturday, March 19, 2011, at the Heritage House of Kimball. She was 82.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 23, at St. John's Lutheran Church with Rev. David Milz officiating. Burial will follow at the Fairhaven Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the service Wednesday, both at the church.
Fern Margaret Foreman was born Sept. 25, 1928, in Fair Haven to Edward and Clara (Brunko) Dahnke. She grew up and lived most of her life in Fair Haven, moving away for a short time to live in Maple Lake and in Wahpeton, N.D. She was united in marriage to Melvin Looman July 27, 1946; he preceded her in death Feb. 7, 1964. On July 12, 1969, she married Harry Foreman; he preceded her in death July 25, 1982. Fern worked on the assembly line at Franklin Manufacturing in St. Cloud for 14 years. She enjoyed creating crafts and watching Minnesota Twins Baseball. She loved her family and grandchildren.
Fern was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, and brother Myron Dahnke.
She is survived by her children Larry (and Julie) Looman of Jackson, Mo., Willy (and Darlene) Looman of Fair Haven, and Lettie (and Tony) Mohr of Wahpeton, N.D.; sister Joyce Kotzer of South Haven; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and four step-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren Christine Peterson, Jody Klinnert, Kelly Traurig, Angie Ranta, and Greg, Heath, Cory and Chad Looman. Arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.
