Feed the Need Food Drive 2011

KES Student Government would like to thank all of the students, staff and families of Kimball elementary for donating food to the Feed the Need Food Drive held in February. Thank you to all staff members for assisting student government with the collection, and for also providing boxes for us to store the donations.

We also would like to give a big thank you to Jennifer Schiefelbein for helping us organize the food, and for helping us with the delivery of items to the Kimball Area Food Shelf. Many items were donated such as toothpaste and toothbrushes, to soups, cake mixes and more. Our grand total of items was 876, weighing in at 816 lbs. Wow!

A big thank you also is extended to Mary Mathias for giving us the ideas for the items needed in the Kimball area. Many people truly benefit from all of the generous donations, and Mary Mathias puts a lot of time to help out those in need. Gohmann's Foods was also kind enough to let us borrow a grocery cart during our two-week food drive. It was fun to push the cart from room to room to collect the many donations. It was quite a shopping spree.

It is through the kindness and support from donors like you that our Kimball Area Food Shelf is able to provide such great services. Thank you all for making our 2011 KES Food Drive a true success!
