Maple Lake will celebrate their 34th Annual St. Patrick's Day Festival Saturday, March 12.
The annual craft sale is 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Maple Lake Elementary gym.
The annual Irish Scamper gets under way at 9 a.m. with registration at Maple Lake High School on Highway 55. The 5K run will begin at 11 a.m. on a course through the town. www.raceberryjam.com/scamper
The Grande Day Parade will begin at 1:30 p.m. near the city park on Division Street. Applications for the parade are now at www.ci.maple-lake.mn.us, at www.maplelakechamber.com, or at Roger's Amoco.
The coronation of the new Maple Lake ambassadors will take place at 5 p.m. at the high school gym. Judges will select from among seven candidates for the three Ambassador positions.
During the day on March 12, the Maple Lake Lions' Club will serve Mulligan Stew and other refreshments at the American Legion Club. In addition, other civic organizations, restaurants and businesses will be offering
St. Patrick's Day specials.
The Friends of the Maple Lake Library will be hosting local author Christine Husom, writer of the Winnebago County mystery series, at a book signing on March 12. A presentation by the author is set for 10:30 a.m. with the book signing from 11 a.m. to noon at The Den in downtown Maple Lake.
