Bob Erickson, an eight-year veteran of the Kimball Area Fire Department, has been named the recipient of the 2010 Kimball Fire & Rescue Chief's Award.

The department is proud to announce it's recipient of the 2010 Chief's Award is Bob Erickson. Bob responded to many fire and rescue calls. He is currently the Fire Department's Engineer, which means it is his duty to make sure all of our equipment is ready for use on every call. Bob is also our department's gambling manager, for which he dedicates a lot of time too, and does a very great job. In order to qualify for the award, a candidate must be in the top 25 percent of the membership in the number of fire and rescue calls made for the year. Many other factors are also included in evaluating who would receive the award, including attendance of fire and rescue trainings, volunteering at fundraisers and community events, being a team player, taking part in extra committees, and taking on extra projects. The Department congratulates Bob on being this year's Chief's Award recipient.
