BBB opens office in St. Cloud

The Better Business Bureau of Minnesota and North Dakota (BBB) is partnering with the Central Minnesota Small Business Development Center and the

G.R. Herberger College of Business at St. Cloud State University to open a satellite office in the new St. Cloud State University Welcome Center (355 5th Avenue South).The office opened for business Wednesday, Jan. 19.

Business owners with questions about the BBB's St. Cloud office can contact Lisa Jemtrud, Director of Outreach and Industry Services for the BBB, at (800) 646-6222.

The BBB's mission is to be the leader in advancing marketplace trust, with a vision of maintaining an ethical marketplace where buyers and sellers can trust each other. The Better Business Bureau was founded in Minneapolis in 1912 by ethical business owners.

"Our goal is to provide better accessibility to the many programs the BBB offers and deliver expanded and improved service to businesses in the St. Cloud region," said Dana Badgerow, president and CEO of the BBB. "The office will be primarily staffed with a trained intern/representative of the BBB who will be available during scheduled hours." The BBB will be offering a number of educational workshops and Focus Luncheons for Accredited Businesses and interested business owners at its St. Cloud location.

"St. Cloud State University and the Small Business Development Center is excited the BBB will be providing services at the college's new Welcome Center," said Barry Kirchoff, Central Minnesota Region Small Business Development Director. "It is the vision of the college to have the Welcome Center's Small Business Development Center be a one-stop location in serving the needs of Central Minnesota small business owners."
