Community Education Youth Enrichment and Recreation starting winter classes.
By Suzanne Robben,
Community Ed. Youth Programs
Before the holiday break, we wrapped up our fall classes and the Drama Club had their play performance, A Bad Case of the Stripes, scheduled over break
Dec. 30. It was rescheduled because of Mother Nature thinking this was not a good day to hold a performance. After waiting, the big debut was Sunday,
Jan. 9. More than 50 friends and relatives showed up to watch the eager and talented group, and enjoying refreshments afterwards.
BINGO! Friday, Jan. 14, six families came to make and eat pizzas and earn prizes playing bingo. The next family fun night is popcorn, pop, and a movie March 25. Come and enjoy a new release movie with your family. Registration flyers with the new release title will go out with students when the date approaches.
Now that the holidays are behind us and the New Year has started, Community Education is ready to start up some winter fun and offer classes through April. The first four-week sessions for classes started Tuesday, Jan. 18, and continue until Feb. 11. It is not too late to register, so bring a friend or two and have fun together. If it is not safe outside because of the unpredictable Minnesota weather, classes will move indoors with other activities planned.
