Angela Provost Sandal, Karen Hendrickson, Frank Bennett, Ted Greely, and Norm Kunkel are named to the Kimball Hall of Fame. This was the fourth KAHS Hall of Fame induction ceremony; it took place during halftime of the Homecoming game, and a reception followed the game.
Brad Mies becomes an Eagle Scout, the ninth Eagle scout in Kimball Boy Scout history.
Neil Hilary and Dolores Madden were named Homecoming King and Queen at the Kimball Dining Site Sept. 21.
Students at Holy Cross raised just over $12,000 for the school's annual Prayer/Walkathon fundraiser. Because they surpassed their goal, principal Mrs. Anna Moran spent the day on the school roof. Custodian John Voight also dyed his hair hot-pink after the students raised more money than their goal.
Students of the former Dist. 74/1131 met at the Forest City Threshers building and held a reunion Sept. 25. Seventy-five former students attended the event. During the day, many students reminisced with each other about the school, former students took a trip back to the building, and a few prizes were given out.
Kimball Band Boosters hold a fundraising breakfast at Triple R Grill and Bar that raises $550. 183 people were served during the event.
Nine members of the Kimball FFA and their advisor traveled to Indianapolis Oct. 19-24 to participate in the National FFA Convention there.
