The St. Cloud Lazers won the Minnetonka Splash Soccer Tournament this past weekend for the girls U15 age group. The Lazers, a C-2 traveling soccer team, won all three of its pool play matches to get into the championship match. In the championship match game the Lazers beat Hudson, Wisc., in a shootout. The Lazers did not allow any goals in their four games while winning the championship. Claire Arnold of Kimball, the Lazers' goalkeeper, had shutouts in all four games as the Lazers won the championship. The St. Cloud Lazers are part of the Central Minnesota Youth Soccer Association (CMYSA), an educational, non-profit organization formed to promote, foster and perpetuate the game of soccer for players kindergarten through high school age.
