Softball season awards



The 2009 season has ended and at the team banquet the softball awards for the 2009 year were presented. Kimball players selected for the CMC All-conference team were senior Kendra Albers and junior Tesslynn Callander to the first team. Second Team All-conference went to senior Cassandra Loch and freshman Megan Libbesmeier. Academic All-conference awards went to Kendra Albers, Tesslynn Callander, Kristen Kuechle, Kelsey Vigoren, Abby Zoller, and Shantel Tschida. These players had GPA above 3.7. At the state level, senior Kendra Albers is an Academic All-State player. The Kimball team received a gold award for a team GPA of 3.66.

Local awards were also handed out. Most Valuable Player selected by a vote of the team was Kendra Albers. Most Valuable Bat and Most Valuable Glove based on statistics went to Tesslynn Callander. Team Player voted by the players was Beth Libbesmeier and the Coaches Award for most improved went to Shantel Tschida.

Letterwinners for the 2009 season were seniors Kendra Albers, Cassandra Loch, and Amy Massmann. Juniors were Tesslynn Callander, Kelsey Vigoren, Erin Gilpatrick, Beth Libbesmeier, Kristen Kuechle, Abby Zoller, Shantel Tschida, and Melissa Konz. The final two letterwinners were sophomore Natalie Stein and freshman Megan Libbesmeier. Captains selected for the 2010 season were juniors Tesslynn Callander and Beth Libbesmeier.
