David Janisch, Sr. of South Haven died Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at the Buffalo Hospital. He was 67. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 18, at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Kimball with Fr. Thomas Olson officiating. Friends called from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Kimball, and one hour prior to services at the church. Burial followed at St. Anne's Catholic Cemetery. David John Janisch, Sr. was born March 3, 1942, in St. Cloud to the late John and Theresa (Nothnagel) Janisch. He was a 1960 graduate of Kimball Area High School. He married Scheran Kriedeman Nov. 23, 1963. Dave was a farmer, and was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church. He enjoyed deer hunting, playing cards, and time spent on the tractor and at the restaurant with his friends. David is survived by his wife Scheran of South Haven; three children LaNor Janisch of South Haven, David, Jr. (and Katherine) Janisch of Watkins, Todd Janisch (and friend Carol Root) of Annandale; six grandchildren Ryan, Emily, John, Jacob, Jordon, and Jessica Janisch; two brothers Doug (and Joan) Janisch of Kimball, and Quentin (and Marilyn) Janisch of South Haven. Pallbearers were Dave's grandchildren. Frosty Schiefelbein and the St. Anne's Choir provided the music for the service.
