Kimball Kruisers 4-H report

Designs, design, designs. We got to see it all-Spiderman, Nature Scenes and Barb Hoffmann's very first quilt. We welcomed expert quilter and former 4-H'er Barb Hoffmann to the Kimball Kruisers April 4-H meeting. After showing us many different quilts, we all learned how to make a pillowcase. The sewing machines were buzzing. Look for these neat pillowcases at the Meeker County Fair. Congratulations to our 4-H club. We were awarded a Minnesota Helping Hands Grant. We were awarded $1,000 to make fleece tie blankets for the Fire Rescue Squad and the Food Shelf. We will be super busy! Go Green-was what Kris O'Brien talked to us about. She talked to our 4-H club about the grant her Summer of Service group received. She invited us to join them this summer and see if we can come up with any Go Green projects. Our club was busy this month with Food Review and Demonstration Day. We had three Grand Champion winners from our club. Also our club helped out at the Fireman's Palm Sunday Breakfast. For upcoming projects we will be handing out trees at the Elementary School on Arbor Day. For project talks Bailee Schiefelbein showed us how 4-H rocks. Shelby Schiefelbein showed us the shirt she made for fashion review and Austin Schiefelbein showed the awards he won at State Fair with his sheep. I showed the pillow I knitted. Our next meeting will be May 3.We will be meeting to clean our road ditch. Abbey Schiefelbein Kimball Kruisers 4-H Reporter
