The Kimball Lions will be doing a Food Shelf Scavenger Hunt from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, April 4. The food drive results will be given to the Kimball Food Shelf, that will be credited to the Alan Shawn Feinstein Foundation. The foundation has its 12th annual $1-Million Giveaway for raising funds during March and April, 2009. The food is equal to $1 for each pound or item received. Last year, the Food Shelf received an additional $285. Besides food needs, we would like to include other needs in this drive, such as dish soap, toothpaste, tooth brushes, personal items, shampoo, paper products, and cleaning supplies. We hope you will help us stock the shelves by donating items when we come to your door. The Kimball Area Food Shelf is open overy Tuesday and Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m., and every second Monday of the month from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., and serves the Kimball School district.
