The latest report shows the Sauk River is now expected to crest at 8.6 feet, a foot higher than what the National Weather Service reported this morning, and nearing the Major Flood Stage. This exceeds the 2001 flood levels and about equals the 1997 flood levels. Currently the Sauk River is at 7-1/2 feet. It's the same story for the Mississippi River. It's now expected to crest at 10.8 feet, nearly a foot higher than what was reported this morning. Stearns County emergency officials have ordered another 20,000 sandbags. There is also a need for volunteers to help with sandbagging. Anyone willing to help should call RSVP at 320-255-7265.
