Paul Anderson of Kimball died Monday, March 9, 2009, at his daughter's farm surrounded by his family. He was 88. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 15, at the Kimball Church of Christ with Pastor Jerry Albert and Pastor Dale DePeel officiating. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Kimball and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Kimball Cemetery. Paul Walter Anderson was born Dec. 14, 1920, on the family farm in Stearns County, near Kimball, to William and Christie (Peterson) Anderson. He married Ruby Stelton July 16, 1949, at the parsonage of the Kimball Church of Christ. Paul farmed all his life and retired in 1986. He enjoyed reading, bowling, playing cards, collecting horses, and farming. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Erwin, and grandson Adam Hansen. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Ruby; children Paula (and Dale) DePeel of Rochester, Elaine Anderson of Albertville, Bruce (and Sandra) Anderson of South Haven, and Amy (and Nick) Konz of Kimball; 13 grandchildren: Heidi, Bonnie, Brian, Laura, Michelle, Tara, Jason, Damien, Trevor, Nicole, Ally, Abby and Annicka; three great-grandchildren: Katlyn, Erin and Chloe; brothers and sisters: Alice Stelton of Coon Rapids, Donald Anderson of Kimball, Eva (and Alden) Edlund of Rogers, and Alpha (and Ted) Erickson of Bloomington; and sister-in-law Sue Anderson of Gainesville, Ga. Pallbearers will be Jason Anderson, Robert Buermann, Michelle Hansen, Heidi Whitehurst, Bonnie DePeel, Nicole Konz, and Ally Konz. Paula DePeel and Joyce Albert will provide the music for the service. Arrangements were made by Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.
