Klobuchar Named Chairman of Commerce Subcommittee on Competitiveness, Innovation and Export Promotion

Klobuchar Named Chairman of Commerce Subcommittee on Competitiveness, Innovation and Export Promotion Committee will have oversight over Commerce Department, export promotion and tourism issues Today, U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar was named Chairman of the Commerce Committee's Subcommittee on Competitiveness, Innovation and Export Promotion.  The Subcommittee on Competitiveness, Innovation and Export Promotion has responsibility for competitiveness and innovation issues as well as oversight over the Commerce Department, export promotion and tourism issues.  "The Subcommittee on Competitiveness, Innovation and Export Promotion is a critical part of our efforts to keep America competitive in the global economy," said U.S. Senator Jay Rockefeller, Chairman of the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee.  "I look forward to Amy's leadership on these issues, and I know her work will help us move the economy in all the right directions."
