The next conference match is at Holdingford Thursday, Sept. 18, following the junior varsity match starting at 6 p.m. The Kimball junior varsity volleyball team lost to Maple Lake 2-0 on Homecoming Thursday, Sept. 11. In game one, the Cubs took a bit too long to overcome their gametime jitters, but they were able to eventually find a rhythm, making the 25-21 loss respectable. Game two (11-25) was a struggle from the beginning as a couple of tough servers from Maple Lake created a big score margin, which was too difficult for the Cubs to come back. The Cubs did play a third game and seemed to feel a bit more comfortable on the floor, losing a close one 14-16.
