Paynesville Invitational Sept. 25, 2008 Eden Valley-Watkins-Kimball varsity girls cross country team took fifth place in the Paynesville Invitational meet Sept. 25. Paynesville took first place in their home meet with a score of 54 points. St. Cloud Cathedral was second with 71 points; ROCORI third, 106 points; Annandale, fourth, 120 points; Eden Valley-Watkins-Kimball, fifth, 126 points; New London-Spicer, sixth, 128 points; Minnewaska, seventh, 145 points; Benson, eighth, 177 points; Litchfield, ninth, 190 points; Mayer Lutheran, 10th, 315 points. There were 11 teams; 10 complete.
Eden Valley-Watkins-Kimball varsity girls were Justine Hilsgen, eighth, 16:37; Tanya Maciejewski, 15th, 17:22; Molly Hesse, 25th, 17:52; Renee Berg, 32nd, 18:29; Kelsey Vigoren, 46th, 19:25; Bethany Libbesmeier, 52nd, 20:02; and Jennifer Notch, 53rd, 20:03. Jacob Asfeld placed 55th in a time of 22:44 in the boys varsity race. Nick Koltes was 45th with a time of 22:43 and Nathan McCann was 75th with a time of 25:19 in the JV race. Eden Valley-Watkins-Kimball junior high girls took second place. Raelyn Callander placed fourth in a time of 11:56; Kelsey Libbesmeier, 16th, 14:20; Rose Ruprecht, 17th, 14:22; Emily Whitcomb, 19th, 16:02; and Ashley Trout, 20th, 16:10. Litchfield Invitational Oct. 2, 2008 Eden Valley-Watkins-Kimball varsity girls placed fifth in the Litchfield meet. There were 13 teams; 10 complete in the girls varsity meet. Mound Westonka took first place with 49 points; Buffalo, second, 59 points; Annandale, third, 100 points; New London-Spicer, fourth, 115 points; Eden Valley-Watkins-Kimball, fifth, 140 points; Cambridge-Isanti, sixth, 153 points; Dassel-Cokato, seventh, 170 points; Glencoe-Silver lake, eighth, 180 points; Maple Lake, ninth, 206 points; Litchfield, 10th, 243 points; Orono, 11th, 330 points. Eden Valley-Watkins-Kimball varsity runners were: Justine Hilsgen, sixth, 16:11; Tanya Manciejewski, 15th, 16:55; Molly Hesse, 16th, 16:59; Renee Berg, 37th, 17:57; Kelsey Vigoren, 64th, 19:22; Jennifer Notch, 70th, 20:05; and Beth Libbesmeier, 71st, 20:44. Jacob Asfeld placed 70th on boys varsity with a time of 20:52. The JV girls finished seventh. Nick Koltes finished 69th in a time of 21:39 and Nathan McCann was 93rd in a time of 22:56 in the JV boys race. The junior high girls team was incomplete. Individual Eden Valley-Watkins-Kimball finishers were: Rose Ruprecht, 11th, 12:24; Kelsey Libbesmeier, 14th, 12:59; Ashley Trout, 19th, 14:17; and Emily Whitcomb, 20th, 14:29.
