8:40 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 27, Hwy. 15, 2 miles north of Kimball (Maine Prairie Township) - The Stearns County Sheriff's Office received a report of an ATV accident with injuries in the west ditch of Minnesota Hwy. 15. Noah Hurrle, 19 of South Haven, was driving a 2008 Yamaha ATV southbound in the west ditch parallel to Hwy. 15 when he struck a driveway approach and lost control of the ATV. Hurrle became separated from the ATV and was injured. Hurrle was treated at the scene by Kimball Rescue and later transported to the St. Cloud Hospital by Watkins Ambulance. The ATV is owned by Jamie Krantz of Sartell. The accident is under investigation. 12:32 p.m., Friday, Sept. 26, County Road 2 at I-94 (St. Joseph Township) - The Stearns County Sheriff's Office received a report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries involving two vehicles. A 2002 Dodge Caravan being driven by Beverly Kunde, 80 of Coon Rapids, was traveling southbound on County Road 2 when she attempted to make a left turn to go east on I-94. As Kunde crossed the northbound lane of County Road 2, her vehicle collided with a 1993 Plymouth mini-van being driven by John Gertken, 56 of Cold Spring, who was northbound on County Road 2. Gertken was alone in his vehicle at the time of the crash. Riding in Kunde's vehicle was her husband Arnold Kunde, 81 of Coon Rapids. All parties involved in the accident were treated at the scene and transported to the St. Cloud Hospital for their injuries. Assisting at the scene was the St. Joseph Police Department, St. Joseph Fire & Rescue and Gold Cross Ambulance.
