The CMC held its annual Senior Basketball Allstar game Saturday, April 5, and Kimball had four players take part. They included, for the girls, Brittnay Simmons and Mindy Hurrle. For the boys it was Logan Looman and Zak Kuseske. The event started off with the girls game. Kimball girls were on the West Allstar Team, who was coached by Maple Lake Head Coach Adam Ronneberg. The West beat the east on a shot made by Kimball Senior Mindy Hurrle with five seconds to go. Mindy ended the evening scoring 10 points, three rebounds and two assists. She also was runner up in game MVP voting, which went to Holdingfords Katie Nelson. Brittnay Simmons played well to, scoring two points and having five steals in the game and played good defense, which allowed the west to comeback in the game after trailing by 10 at half. The final score of the girls game: West 52-East 51.
Following the girls game was a three-point shot contest. In this contest a boy player and girl player from each school shot together and their combined scores were used. For Kimball, Brittnay Simmons and Logan Looman competed together. Brittnay and Logan had a combined score of 15 in the first round and then had to go to a tie break round, where they scored 11, but was beaten out by the pair from Pierz. Simmons and Looman finished third in the contest. The pair from Rockford eventually beat Pierz to take home the win. Up next was the Boys game and Kimballs seniors where on the West which was coached by Maple Lakes Head Coach Tim Staloch. The West took control of the game early and went on to a easy victory. Kimballs Logan Looman scored 7pts and 5rebs. for his team. Fellow Kimball senior Zak Kuseske added four points and six rebounds in the West win. The final score of the boys game: West 88-East 74.
