How can Minnesotan's get youth connected, passionately involved and working in a partnership with adults to make a difference in their community? This is a question that will be answered in a valuable forum called "Youth Engagement, Minnesota Style," launched by the University of Minnesota Extension Center for Youth Development. These interactive forums will provide practical tools, models and case studies of various types of youth engagement throughout Minnesota while researchers share their work and discuss practical dimensions of their findings and ideas about youth engagement. Participants are exposed to broad goals for a statewide youth engagement initiative. These sessions are for anyone who works with, for or on behalf of young people. Locally, a forum will be held from 9 a.m.-noon Tuesday, April 22, at the American Red Cross, 1301 W. Germain St., St. Cloud. Registration fee of $15; www.extension.umn.edu/youthworkinstitute for more information or to register.
