The event is from 9-11 a.m. Thursday, April 19, at the Ballroom in Atwood Memorial Center of SCSU. It will feature displays from several collaborations between campus members and community partners. Projects showcase the work of various community initiatives, student organizations and various disciplines such as Arts and Humanities, Business, Education, Health and Human Services, Natural Science and Engineering and Social Sciences. Guests are invited to mingle and learn more about the projects being showcased.
Community collaborations at SCSU take a variety of forms, such as curricular and co-curricular volunteering, field experience, internships and service-learning. The large number of collaborations between campus and community reflects the importance of campus-community connections for the region.
Community members, faculty, staff and students are all welcome to attend. The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. Parking is available in on-campus ramp.
