A benefit breakfast is planned for Candi Patchin Vossen from 8-11:30 a.m. Sunday April 15, at Kimball's American Legion Hall. The FUNdraiser is to help with medical expenses for the cancer treatments Candi is receiving. This is a special event with much for children to enjoy, including balloons, music, clowns, and crafts! There will also be a bake sale, and that's special for the grownups.
The menu will include biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, coffee, milk and more.
Candi has been a volunteer in the Kimball community for years. She has helped with the Blood Mobile, is a member of the Kimball Legion Auxiliary, and is a professional clown who has entertained many children.
Candi had surgery Sept. 21, 2011, in Minneapolis to remove a malignant brain tumor. It was determined to be a stage 4 glioblastoma. She now faces about a year of chemo and radiation treatments.
